Super well done on getting your site onto page 1 of the Big G! Lots of work, but you've done it. That took like 6 weeks or so? Awesome! 6 Weeks to get a page 1 listing in Google - you gotta love it. (And that doesn't include all your other stuff on page 1, does it?) That's incredible. Have a lemonade for me (heck, even add some vodka if you want! WooHoo!)
Howdy Gordon - good deal on more than 3x-ing visitors to your site. Bummer about the Google loss - Google "ain't" everything, and as long as they're indexing your other pages, you'll eventually draw in links from others, and besides, you get to share in the proceeds from clicks on hubpages and squidoo! Those pages are doing great, you're on Yahoo! and MSN better. Have you talked to your profs about linking to your site (even "deep" links)? Found others? Google likes .edu links. Video on YouTube? Google Video? Vlog on your site? Lot's still to do get frenchsquared back on the google SERPs.
Hey Gordon - I've been busy planning videos for a product launch for a trading system creation and management system. (And tending to our 5 kids, their education and training, and my 83yo grandmother - it's really time consuming!) Also getting familiar with Twitter, MySpace, which I didn't think I'd ever get into, facebook... I've posted a bit on the Rate My Site group, and am waiting for answers before helping Peg...
